Bruz Newton

Bruz Newton Kamau is a professional dance choreographer, singer, song writer, dance consultant, fitness instructor and creative director. Known for his song Zigwembe, Newton Kamau rose to fame when he appeared in the song ‘Bazo Kizo’ which he collaborated with Collo. Newton explains how he got his first stage name ‘Bruz’ ”I have small eyes and when I was young I was nicknamed Bruze (from Bruce Lee) but with a Z and it became my name.” The ‘Zigwembe’ hitmaker, came from the ghetto, the dancer-turned-singer has had his name become the talk of town for his dance moves where he appeared in videos of some of the top artists as a dancer.
